A proposed law in Ghana to toughen curbs on the LGBT community has triggered a rift between the Archbishop of Canterbury and the local Anglican church, which strongly supports the bill.

The pump price of Automotive Gas Oil, also known as diesel, may rise further as the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria says its landing cost has increased to ₦336.45 per litre.

Former New York Governor Cuomo Charged With Sex Crime

Former New York governor Andrew Cuomo was on Thursday charged with a misdemeanor sex crime for forcible touching, a court spokesperson said.

The charge is the first to be filed since the once-powerful politician was forced to resign this year following a slew of sexual harassment allegations.

‘A misdemeanor complaint against former governor Andrew Cuomo has been filed in Albany City Court,’ said Lucian Chalfen, a spokesman for the New York state courts, describing it as a ‘sex crime.’

The complaint accuses Cuomo of putting his hand down the victim’s blouse and grabbing her left breast in December 2020.

The Head Media & Publicity of the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, condemned the report, noting that none of the officers of the commission carried out operation in Justice Odili’s home.

According to a report that went viral on Friday, not the commission officers were said to have gone to the judge’s home to execute a search warrant as part of investigations into her husband, Peter Odili, who is a former Governor of Rivers State.
