Security agents have barricaded the Federal High Court Abuja, ahead of scheduled re-arraingment of the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Kanu is expected to take a fresh plea before trial Justice Binta Nyako, on an amended seven-count charge bordering on incitement, treasonable felony and terrorism.

Security agents drawn from the Department of State Service, the Nigerian Police Force, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Nigerian Army, as early as 4am, blocked all roads leading to the high court premises which is adjacent the Federal Ministry of Justice Headquarters.

Legal Practitioner, Modupe (Moe) Adele, who is one of the promoters of the EndSARS movement, made this known on her Twitter page.

Recall that scores of people were arrested by the Nigeria police on Wednesday during a peaceful protest for the EndSARS memorial.

A pro-Biafra group, Indigenous Biafra Warriors has told the Federal Government to ensure an open trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in court today, Thursday.

Africa Daily News, New York had reported that Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, will be arraigned in court today, over an amended 7-count charge bordering on treason.

Speaking to journalists late Wednesday night, the leader of the Indigenous Biafra Warriors, Mr. Ndubuisi Igwekala, popularly known as Agu Biafra, said secret trial of the IPOB leader would send the wrong signal.
