Gunmen Invade University Community In Nasarawa, Abducts Two

Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Sunday abducted at least two students of Federal University Lafia, Nasarawa State.

Africa Daily News, New York gathered that the incident occurred on Saturday night when the assailants invaded the university’s host community.

It was gathered that the attackers stormed the area with sophisticated weapons, shooting sporadically before whisking the victims away to an unknown destination.

According to reports the gunmen also abducted one Hon. Yahaya Adams from the community during the attack.

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) said unregulated social media and the internet had caused a steady decline in social values among young persons.

The Lagos State Director of the NOA, Mr Waheed Ishola said the content of a lot of internet and social media sites did not reflect traditional African values.

Nigeria’s Debt-To-GDP Ratio To Hit 42% By 2026 – IMF

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected that Nigeria’s government gross debt to Gross Domestic Product ratio will rise to 42% by 2026 from 35.7% in 2021.

The IMF made this projection in the October 2021 Fiscal Monitor Report published on its website which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York.

It predicted that the country’s gross debt-to-GDP ratio would increase from 35.7 percent in 2021 to 36.9 percent in 2022, 37.7 percent in 2023, 39.1 percent in 2024, and 40.6 percent in 2025.
