2023: Bakare Kicks Against Zoning, Calls It ‘Immaturity’

Pastor Tunde Bakare of The Citadel Global Community Church, has asserted that Nigeria’s next President should not be judged based on his region but rather based on his competence.

Bakare said the president should be judged based on his capabilities and not where he comes from.

He made these assertions when he spoke while addressing State House Correspondents after he met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.

Pastor Bakare said the North would have been the richest region, if presidents are judged by their region.

The Joint Union of Plateau State Owned Tertiary Institutions (JUPTI) has appealed to the state government to resolve the lingering issues which have led to the ongoing strike action across all institutions under the union, vowing not to resume work if the issues are not resolved.
