I Won’t Apologise To Buhari – Ortom Fires Back At Akume

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has vowed never to apologise to President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC), over his recent remarks and assertions about the insecurity in Benue State.

Ortom made the remark in response to calls by the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, George Akume, that he should tender an unreserved apology to the president and APC.

Akume, who is a former governor of the state, said Ortom should apologise and stop attacking Buhari and his administration.

A chieftain of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Barr. Olusegun Bamgbose, has claimed that former President Goodluck Jonathan will defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), soon.

According to him, the ruling party is doing everything possible to ensure that it clings to power at all cost.

Mixed Feelings As JAMB Cancels UTME Cut-Off Marks

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Tuesday cancelled general cut-off marks for admission into tertiary institutions while explaining new modalities.

The admissions body has, therefore, given the institutions freedom to set their individual minimum benchmark for admission.

The Board took the decision at the 2021 policy meeting which was held virtually on Tuesday which was chaired by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu.
