Why North Korea Rejected Chinese Vaccines – UNICEF

North Korea has rejected around three million doses of a Chinese Covid-19 vaccine, suggesting they should be given to countries in greater need, the Unicef has revealed.

The United Nations have revealed that a blockade on aid routes to Ethiopia’s northern region of Tigray is bringing millions to the brink of famine.

A senior UN official on Thursday said that food supplies ran out two weeks ago.

He went further to state 170 aid trucks were stranded outside Tigray and that none of the vehicles had been allowed to enter the region for the past 12 days.

Over 5,890 Boko Haram Terrorists Have Given-In – Defence HQ

The Defence Headquarters have revealed that no fewer than 5,890 Boko Haram terrorists and their families have so far surrendered to troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in North East due to the intensity of military firepower.

The Acting Director, Defence Media Operations, Brig.-Gen. Bernard Onyeuko, made this disclosure while giving an update on the operations of the armed forces across the country on Thursday in Abuja.

Onyeuko said the troops have sustained their operations against the terrorists, adding that the kinetic and non-kinetic efforts had compelled the terrorists to surrender in large numbers.

The Kogi State government has threatened to take legal action against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Commissioner of Information and Communication in the state, Kingsley Fanwo, issued the threat on Thursday while briefing reporters at the Kogi Liaison Office in Abuja.
