Stop Enacting Anti-Open Grazing Laws, Miyetti Allah Blows Hot

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) on Monday called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to stop state governors from enacting the anti-open grazing law in their various States.

MACBAN Secretary-General, Saleh Alhassan made the comment during a press conference which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York in Abuja.

According to him, the law would undermine the relative peace and stability currently enjoyed in the local communities, threaten the social order and exacerbate cattle rustling.

Gunmen have kidnapped the former Senator representing Eket Senatorial District of Akwa Ibom State, Nelson Effiong in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Africa Daily News, New York gathered that the victim was kidnapped by three-armed hoodlums at his lounge, a popular sit-out along Oron Road in Uyo.

Popular activist, Aisha Yesufu, has lambasted Nigeria’s major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing it as a terrorists party.

Yesufu, co-convener of BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, an advocacy group said PDP is a pathetic terrorists’ party.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has proposed a fine of ₦200,000 for mobile communications services providers that fail to verify and validate biometric, National Identity Number, and other personal information of each subscriber to their services.

This was contained in a proposed draft regulation on registration of telephone subscribers 2020 recently published on NCC’s website.
