The Petroleum Product Pricing and Regulatory Agency has explained why it does not have records of the volume of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol, being consumed daily in Nigeria.

The agency pointed out that the only record available to it was that of the PMS being discharged at the various depots nationwide and the volume trucked out of the depots.

President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, has revealed why he believes that another 39 million people in the continent could fall into poverty at the end of this year.

Speaking at the ongoing virtual Africa Singapore Business Forum. Adesina stated the 39 million people he is referring to could pass on as an added number to 30 million individuals rendered poor by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Tax Appeal Tribunal sitting in Lagos has instructed Multichoice Nigeria Limited to pay the sum of ₦900 billion as a deposit to Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
