Kano State Governor, Umar Ganduje has explained why he believes that the current spate of secessionist agitations across Nigeria can never be the solution to the challenges currently afflicting the country.

The governor spoke at the second quarterly public lecture series organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Press Corps, held in Abuja.

He appealed to advocates of secession to have a change of heart and embrace dialogue as a crucial option for addressing their problems.

Katsina State Governor, Bello Masari has decried the security situation in the State, lamenting that 10 out of the 34 Local Government Areas in the state are under severe attack daily by armed bandits.

Hundreds Evacuated As Wildfire Reaches Turkey’s Power Plant

A threatened Turkish thermal power plant on the Aegean Sea was being evacuated on Wednesday as a deadly wildfire that has raged across the country for the past week reached its edge.

German sportswear manufacturing giants PUMA have announced the termination of its four-year contract with the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).

Classes Suspended In Liberian University Following Clashes

Undergraduate classes at the University of Liberia have been suspended indefinitely following Monday’s clashes between demonstrating students and police in the school.

The students were protesting against the university’s decision to cancel in-person classes for online classes, a move they said would limit the spread of coronavirus.
