FBI Indictment: Police Commission Suspends Abba Kyari

The Police Service Commission has ratified the suspension of a Deputy Commissioner of Police and Head, Intelligence Response Team of the Nigeria Police Force, Abba Kyari, from office.

According to a statement by the commission’s Head of Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani which was sighted by Africa Daily News, the decision was conveyed in a letter signed by Justice Clara Bata Ogunbiyi, a retired justice of the Supreme Court.

Kyari’s suspension took effect from July 31, and would subsist pending the outcome of the investigation in respect to his indictment …

Perhaps one of the lessons Nigerians would learn from Kyari’s present predicament is that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is miles away from the Nigerian Police force, unlike the Nigerian police who would forcefully effect arrests before want of evidence becomes their headache, the FBI on the other hand would have got the nude pictures of a criminal before even going ahead to inform same criminal that his or her house address is now known to them.

Doctors Give Matawalle 2-Week Ultimatum To Tackle Insecurity

Doctors under the Umbrella of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Zamfara State chapter has issued a two-week ultimatum to the Bello Matawalle led State government to urgently address rising insecurity in the State or face the harsh consequences.

NMA issued the warning on Saturday after its State Emergency Executive council meeting in Gusau, the state capital.
