Kenya Was Not Involved In Kanu’s Arrest – High Commissioner

Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Wilfred Machage has denied his country’s involvement in the arrest of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu as widely insinuated in several quaters.

Africa Daily News, New York understands that this is the second time Kenya’s interior ministry would be posting a denial.

Machage, reading from a prepared text said his country ‘does not want to be dragged into Nigeria’s internal affairs.’

A brother of Nnamdi Kanu had pinpointed Kenya as the country where the IPOB leader was intercepted.

Why Terrorists Should Not Get Kanu’s Treatment – El-Rufai

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has explained that Boko Haram terrorists, Bandits should not be treated with the same swiftness applied to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

He said this while explaining that the way bandits and Boko Haram terrorists operate is different from the way Nnamdi Kanu’s led IPOB operates.

El-Rufai gave this explanation while speaking with BBC Pidgin yesterday which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York. He pointed out that bandits are not calling for the breakup of Nigeria, unlike the IPOB leader.

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has boasted that the agriculture policy of his administration is beginning to yield positive fruits in the country as many civil servants are now picking up their hoes and heading to the farms.

The President who said this while playing host to Hailemariam Dessalegn, former Prime Minister of Ethiopia on Friday disclosed that Nigeria fell back to agriculture because crude oil is no longer sustainable.

Tension As Amotekun Arrests 400 Cows In Ondo

The Ondo State Security Network Agency is better known as Operation Amotekun have announced the arrest of at least 400 cows in its ongoing ‘Operation Clean up’ in the state.

The state Commander of the corps, Mr. Adetunji Adeleye made this disclosure when he spoke to newsmen in Akure yesterday.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that he said that the arrest of the cows was made possible with the support of local hunters.

He stated that the directive of the state government that all local government chairmen should set up a vigilante system has yielded results.

A wildfire has burned 90% of the village that recorded Canada’s highest ever temperature, the local MP has disclosed.

Brad Vis said the fire had caused extensive damage to Lytton, in British Columbia, and to surrounding critical infrastructure.

AU Kicks As EU Countries Reject Persons Vaccinated In Africa

Europe’s digital ‘green pass’ does not recognise the vaccine donated to many African countries through the COVAX initiative.

The African Union (AU) and Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) have kicked against this.

They urged the EU to consider increasing mandatory access to those vaccines deemed suitable for global rollout through the EU-supported COVAX Facility.

The European Union Digital COVID Certificate enables people who have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine approved by its medicines regulator, the European Medicines Agency (EMA), to travel freely within the bloc.
