 The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila has explained why the Green chamber of the house did not adopt electronic voting for the clause-by-clause consideration and passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill and the Electoral Act 2010 (Amendment) Bill.

Speaking during plenary yesterday, Gbajabiamila maintained it would be difficult to deploy e-voting for such huge legislations.

The Speaker, in his valedictory speech at the plenary, stressed that the 9th House of Representatives has carried on its constitutional duty to make laws for the good government of the country.

Former Imo State Governor and current West Senator, Rochas Okorocha, has denied defecting from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Okorocha also accused the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma of blackmailing him with reports of defecting to PDP.
