I Sacked My Cabinet To Bring Bauchi Out Of Deadlock – Gov Bala

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, on Saturday explained to the people of the state that he sacked his cabinet during the week to bring the state out of the deadlock it was in.

The governor explained this while marking this year’s Democracy Day in Zaki, the headquarters of Zaki Local Government Area of the state.

reports that Governor Mohammed had on 9th June 2021 sacked the Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, Government House, all commissioners as well as Special Advisers, except four aides.

Henri Marie Dondra has been named prime minister of the Central African Republic (CAR), the country’s presidency has confirmed.

The appointment of the former finance minister on Friday came a day after former Prime Minister Firmin Ngrebada announced his resignation and that of his government following legislative elections.

A former chief of staff to President Faustin-Archange Touadera, Ngrebada had been in post since early 2019 when he helped craft a February 2019 peace deal signed with rebel groups in Sudan that now appears on the verge of collapse.

18 Pilgrims Killed As Bus Plunges Into Ravine In Pakistan

A bus carrying dozens of pilgrims plunged into a ravine in southwest Pakistan yesterday, killing no fewer than 18 passengers, Africa Daily News, New York reports.

The accident happened before dawn in a remote district in Balochistan province.

‘A bus carrying 59 pilgrims was returning… (after) the conclusion of a religious ceremony at a local shrine when it plunged into a ravine, killing 18 people and wounding 41 others,’ senior local government official Bashir Bazai told reporters.
