Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has reacted following Twitter’s decision to delete President Buhari’s tweet about the civil war.

Recall that Nigerians had called for the suspension of President Buhari’s account for saying ‘individuals or groups who wants to destroy his government will be treated in a language they will understand.

Following the development, on Wednesday Twitter deleted the comment, saying it violated its rules.

Reacting, Fayose in a tweet via his Twitter account said ‘those exercising President Buhari’s powers for him do not know when & where to stop’.

The UK yesterday reported zero Covid-19 death for the first time in 10 months signaling the possibility of the beginning of the end of the pandemic in the European country. 

Department of Health figures showed the death toll has been tumbling since last week.

Streets in the eastern DR Congo city of Goma returned to life yesterday, five days after residents fled following warnings that the nearby Nyiragongo volcano could erupt again.

Even as emergency officials insisted it was still not safe to return, streets in the city centre were clogged with traffic, the flow of pedestrians seemed close to normal and some shops had reopened.

Africa Daily News, New York gathered that in front of the city’s main hospital, traffic navigated around large cracks that had emerged after the volcano first erupted last month.

Bandits, who abducted children attending Salihu Tanko Islamiyya School in Tegina town in Rafi Local Government of Niger State, have demanded ₦110m ransom for their release.

The school headmaster, Alhaji Abubakar Alhassan, made this disclosure yesterday.

According to him, the bandits made contact with the school on Monday to demand the ransom.

Alhassan told reporters the bandits claimed to have 156 children in their custody, adding they threatened to kill them if the ransom is not paid.
