North Korea Accuses Biden Of Pursuing ‘Hostile Policy’

North Korea on Sunday accused US President Joe Biden of pursuing a hostile policy, dismissing ‘spurious’ American diplomacy and warning of a response.

Biden had said Wednesday that his administration would deal with the threat posed by Pyongyang’s nuclear programme ‘through diplomacy as well as stern deterrence’.

The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) has claimed it was under pressure to resume its suspended strike after the Federal Government failed to fulfil its promises at expiration of the April 30 deadline.

SSANU claimed the government had yet to commence payment of the consequential adjustments for the new national minimum wage and the allowances encapsulated in the earned allowance.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a warning to ‘elements’ threatening Nigeria’s unity and peaceful co-existence.

Israel Holds Day Of Mourning For Stampede Victims

It was a very emotional sight as flags were flown at half-mast Sunday as Israel held a national day of mourning for 45 men and boys killed in a stampede at a packed Jewish festival last week.

The deadly crush on Friday night at Mount Meron in northern Israel has been described as one of the worst peacetime disasters since the nation’s founding in 1948.

At least 16 children and teens figured among those killed.
