Elon Musk’s SpaceX Signs Satellite Broadband Deal With Google

Elon Musk’s SpaceX yesterday announced that Google would team up with its Starlink satellite internet service to deliver cloud computing services to business customers in a mouth-watering deal between the two heavyweights.

Under the partnership, SpaceX will place its Starlink ground stations within Google data center properties, which can help the service support businesses requiring cloud-based applications.

Starlink is in the process of launching its satellite broadband internet service, which can reach customers without ground-based connections and is one of several space-based systems.

Ivory Coast’s Prime Minister Patrick Achi is reportedly in France for medical treatment after suffering intestinal bleeding, sources close to his office revealed yesterday.

The 65 old Achi has been in France for three days and is set to return home on Friday, the sources told reporters under the condition of anonymity.

Ivorian authorities have released no information on the trip and have not responded to requests by AFP.

Achi, a veteran government figure close to President Alassane Ouattara, is the West African country’s third prime minister in the past year after his two predecessors died.

No fewer than 3 more African countries – Algeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria – have now detected the Indian variant of coronavirus, Dr. Ngoy Nsenga, from the World Health Organization (WHO) revealed.

The confirmation brings to seven the number of African nations that have confirmed the B.1.617 mutation, which initial studies show spreads more easily than other variants
