Florida Mass Shooting Leaves 2 Dead

At least 2 were killed and at least 20 injured were yesterday when a gang of three-shot indiscriminately into a crowd outside a concert in Miami, Florida, local police has disclosed.

The mass shooting happened during the early hours at a billiards hall on a commercial estate near Miami Gardens, to the northwest of the coastal city’s downtown.

The venue was ‘hosting a scheduled event and several patrons were standing outside,’ Miami-Dade Police Department said in a statement.

25 Dead In India After Drinking Toxic Liquor

No fewer than 25 people have died after drinking toxic alcohol in northern India, police disclosed yesterday.

Africa Daily News New York police have arrested 10 men for selling the liquor in sprawling Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state.

“So far 25 persons have died and a few others are admitted in the hospital and are undergoing treatment. Ten persons have been arrested,” Ajab Singh, a police spokesperson, told reporters.

Local media reported that the liquor was purchased on Thursday from a shop run by two brothers.

The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) yesterday said the North can no longer continue to coexist with people of Igbo extraction in Nigeria.

81 Bodies Recovered From Kebbi Boat Mishap – Gov Bagudu

Kebbi Gov. Atiku Bagudu said 81 bodies have so far been recovered from Wednesday’s boat mishap in Warrah, Ngaski Local Government Area of the state.

Bagudu disclosed this yesterday in Birnin Kebbi when he received Gov. Aminu Masari of Katsina State, who was on a condolence visit to the state.

There was palpable tension yesterday in Tegina, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, yesterday as bandits stormed the town, killing a least two people, and kidnapped over 200 children.
