EFCC Grills Ex-Kwara Governor, Abdulfatah Over ₦9bn Diversion

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited the former Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed, for questioning, over alleged diversion of ₦9billion.

Channels TV reports that sources at the anti-graft agency said the former Governor is currently being grilled by a crack team of operatives at the headquarters of the EFCC in Jabi Abuja.

According to the source, Ahmed arrived the EFCC headquarters around 10am on Monday to honour an invitation by the agency.

European Union foreign ministers will hold urgent video talks on the escalating fighting between Israel and the Palestinians on Tuesday, the bloc’s foreign policy chief has revealed.

Josep Borrell wrote on Twitter yesterday that; ‘In view of the ongoing escalation between Israel and Palestine and the unacceptable number of civilian casualties, I am convening an extraordinary VTC of the EU Foreign Ministers on Tuesday,’ 

‘We will coordinate and discuss how the EU can best contribute to end the current violence.’

At least seven members of the Sudan military have been arrested and will be prosecuted in connection with the killing of two demonstrators in the capital, Khartoum, last week.
