South Korea’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Kim Young-Chae has been advised the country to tackle its security challenges internally, as they were ‘mere family affairs.’

The ambassador gave the advice in Abuja when he spoke at a summit held that the insecurity facing the most populous nation was akin to a family disagreement that does not require the intervention of the international community, but regional cooperation.

The military in Chad has claimed victory against northern rebels following weeks of fighting.

The conflict against Libya-based rebels threw the country into a crisis when President Idriss Déby died after being wounded on the frontline last month.

A former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday revealed that he would have been a convict but for a ‘courageous judiciary.’ 

Oshiomhole said in his days as a union leader, weapons were not  deployed against him, he was arrested several times for crossing the government’s ‘redline.’

Kano State government has announced that it would not hesitate to shut down more boarding schools if the state of insecurity across the country, especially in some of its neighboring states, worsens.
