You Don’t Need Foreign Help, South Korea Advises Nigeria

South Korea’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Kim Young-Chae has been advised the country to tackle its security challenges internally, as they were ‘mere family affairs.’

The ambassador gave the advice in Abuja when he spoke at a summit held that the insecurity facing the most populous nation was akin to a family disagreement that does not require the intervention of the international community, but regional cooperation.

No fewer than 15 people were killed in a landslide at a gold mine in the West African nation of Guinea, yesterday according to officials.

The Tatakourou mine collapsed on Saturday, killing the miners instantly, said Sekou Biniou Simagan, a local councilor.

Some 15 people have been reported dead after an outbreak of cholera in Koya village of Minjibir Local Government Area of Kano State.

Forty others have also been confirmed hospitalised as a result of the outbreak whose cause is yet to be ascertained.

The village head of the community, Sulaiman Muhammad, who confirmed this to Daily Trust, also said most of the victims were women and children.
