The Kaduna State government, on Tuesday, condemned the recent killing of some students of Greenfield University abducted by bandits in the State.

In a statement by Muyiwa Adekeye, the governor’s media adviser, he said the ruthless resort of the kidnappers to murdering young persons was part of their effort to blackmail the government of Kaduna State under the leadership of Malam Nasir El-Rufai.

According to Adekeye, the bandits were also engaging in such an action to compel the State government to abandon its ‘no ransom, no negotiation’ policy.

The British Minister in charge of African affairs, James Duddridge, has described Nigeria’s security situation as massively complex and complicated.

He asserted that no partnership would resolve the multiplicity of the country’s problems, whether it is Boko Haram insurgency or a number of other issues.

Duddridge was fielding questions from newsmen in Abuja yesterday during his courtesy visit to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.

“The situation is massively complex and no partnership is going to resolve the multiplicity of problems whether it is Boko Haram or a number of other issues,” Duddridge said.

The Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, on Tuesday urged the people of the state to expose every bad egg in their communities following the recent Boko Haram attack on Geidam town.

In a bid to forestall further infiltration of killer gunmen in the State, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has imposed night to dusk curfew at all entry and exit points with Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, and Imo States.

Governor Wike in  State broadcast on Tuesday said the curfew, which takes effect from Wednesday night, is necessitated by the recent security breaches and deadly attacks on security personnel by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
