Following the disturbing state of insecurity in Nigeria, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis Church, Dr Pastor Paul Enenche has criticised Nigerian leaders, saying they are mere space occupiers with no leadership qualities.

The Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Cross River State branch has accused the Accountant General of the federation of failure to implement the provision of Executive Order 10 signed by President Buhari.

Greenfield: Bandits Trying To Blackmail Us With Killings – El-Rufai

The Kaduna State government, on Tuesday, condemned the recent killing of some students of Greenfield University abducted by bandits in the State.

In a statement by Muyiwa Adekeye, the governor’s media adviser, he said the ruthless resort of the kidnappers to murdering young persons was part of their effort to blackmail the government of Kaduna State under the leadership of Malam Nasir El-Rufai.

According to Adekeye, the bandits were also engaging in such an action to compel the State government to abandon its ‘no ransom, no negotiation’ policy.

No Partnership Will Resolve Nigeria’s Security Situation – UK

The British Minister in charge of African affairs, James Duddridge, has described Nigeria’s security situation as massively complex and complicated.

He asserted that no partnership would resolve the multiplicity of the country’s problems, whether it is Boko Haram insurgency or a number of other issues.

Duddridge was fielding questions from newsmen in Abuja yesterday during his courtesy visit to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.

Jihadists Kill 12 Soldiers In Chad In Fresh Attack

Clashes between the army and jihadists in the Lake Chad region on Tuesday left at least 12 Chadians dead.

Mahamat Fadoul Mackaye, a provisional head in the army said 40 Islamist fighters were also killed following the attack on an army position in the marshy region used as a rear base by jihadist groups including Nigeria-based Boko Haram and a dissident branch, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

‘The defence forces responded vigorously to chase away the enemy, which left 40 bodies and weapons, but we mourn the loss of 12 soldiers,’ Mackaye told newsmen by telephone.
