A report commissioned by Kigali released yesterday has insinuated that France ‘bears significant responsibility’ for enabling the genocide in Rwanda while still refusing to acknowledge its actual role in the 1994 horror.

2023 Elections: INEC Plans Expansion Of Polling Units

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Nigeria’s electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has promised to make polling units accessible to the electorate by creating more voting points.

The electoral body stated that the move was in order to remove voter apathy during elections.

Petrol Price Would Not Be Increased In May – NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced that there will be no increase in the ex-depot price of Premium motor spirit also known as petrol in May.
 

The Group Managing Director of NNPC, Mele Kolo Kyari, disclosed on Monday on the company’s social media post during a meeting he held with the National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO)/Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD).

The two association have had an impasse on petroleum logistics issues, with PTD earlier threatening strike action.

Benue Hospital Records Over Over 700 Snake Bites In 2020

No fewer than 700 snake bites victims from different areas of Benue State survived in 2020 after treatment at Bishop Murray Memorial Hospital in Makurdi the hospital authorities have revealed.

The Health Coordinator Catholic Dioceses of Makurdi who is also the administrator of the hospital, made this revelation on Monday when the Governor of the State Samuel Ortom visited the facility to access the condition of victims of alleged herders’ attacks.

Kpaleve said the Catholic-owned Bishop Murray hospital is renowned for the treatment of people who suffer snake bites even though it does not treat only snake bites.
