Nigeria Won’t Break Up – Oluwo of Iwoland Insists

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi on Sunday declared that Nigeria will not break up in the nearest future.
 

In a statement by his Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem, the powerful monarch backed the agitation for a restructured Nigeria and good governance.

He equally cautioned those agitating for it break up to desist.

Oba Akanbi described Nigeria as the powerhouse and hope of the black race, noting its division could mean the failure of the black race.

A shadowy Fulani group claiming to be protecting Fulani interest, has come out to claim responsibility for the attempted assassination of Governor Samuel Ortom declaring that its original intentions was to eliminate the Benue Governor.

In a poorly prepared press statement, in which Ortom’s name was badly misspelled multiple times, the group claimed its aim was to kill Ortom.

It went further to pledge to get him ultimately because Ortom, as it claimed, stands against Fulani’s interest.

Nigerian airline Air Peace has reaffirmed its decision not to cancel an order of Boeing 737 Max, which recently was recertified to resume operation.

The Defence Headquarters says the Nigerian military cannot stoop low to spy on an individual as claimed by Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho.

The Acting Director, Defence Media Operations, Brig.-Gen. Benard Onyeuko, reacted to the news in a statement on Saturday.

In a viral video, two men in military uniform and two others were interviewed for allegedly surveying Igboho’s Soka residence in Ibadan.

Igboho, real name Sunday Adeyemo, linked the alleged spy to the federal government and his declaration that the Yoruba are no longer a part of Nigeria.

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has recommended 18 candidates to President Muhammadu Buhari for appointment as Justices of the Court of Appeal.

1,000 Staff At Risk As NCAA Suspension Hits Azman Air

Azman Air is running into distress due to the suspension by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

The airline announced a halt in operations due to a safety audit by the NCAA.

This followed the sanction by the regulator after a management meeting on Monday.

NCAA Director-General Captain Musa Nuhu, explained that the decision followed a series of events involving the airline’s Boeing 737 aircraft.

Nuhu said it was pursuant to Section 35 (2) of the Civil Aviation Act, 2006, and Part 1.3.3.3 (A) of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs) 2015.
