The National leader of Nigeria’s ruling party – the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has declared that the nation’s economy is weak and it is responsible for insecurity and youth unemployment across the country.

Chadian President Meets Buhari Over Boko Haram

Marshal Idris Deby Itno, the President of Chad, on Saturday expressed optimism that the armies of the four countries under the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) can eradicate the Boko Haram insurgents.

The Chadian President made this assertion while responding to questions from State House correspondents after an official visit to President Muhammadu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja which was held behind closed doors.

The Chadian leader said terrorism remains an issue in the Lake Chad Basin and the Sahel region of Africa because the MNJTF has not been carrying out enough required operations.

Members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Kaduna kidnapped by bandits on their way to Kafanchan from Kaduna have been placed on a ₦50million ransom.

A senior Pastor of the Church who confirmed the contact and the amount, explained that the eight members were kidnapped from the church bus at about 6:00 p.m while on their way for a church assignment.

Edo Govt Reviews Curfew Imposed During COVID-19 Surge

The Edo State government on Friday reviewed the 10pm to 5am curfew earlier imposed in the state to check COVID-19.

The curfew is now to run between 12am and 5am.

The Deputy Governor of the state, Phillip Shaibu disclosed this to newsmen at a press briefing in Benin City.

Shaibu said the reports by the state’s COVID-19 task force and positive indicators recorded informed their decision to review the measures to curtail the viral disease.
