Following Sunday’s declaration by Ex-Militant leader  Mujahid Asari Dokubo that he was forming a Biafran Government, the Federal Government of Nigeria has dismissed the formation of the purported government, describing the move as a ‘theatre of the absurd by a joker seeking attention’.

Africa Daily News had over the weekend reported that Mr. Dokubo had birthed Biafra defacto Customary Government, BCG, announcing himself as the leader of the new version of the Biafra agitation.

CAN Sues FG Over CAMA Act, Demand To Be Excluded

Nigeria’s Apex religious association the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has dragged the federal government to court over the recently gazetted Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020 (CAMA).

The move, obviously was to submit the Association’s displeasure over some provisions of the Act which the Christian body has mounted opposition against.

I Won’t Hesitate To Kick Out Disloyal Aides – Akeredolu

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has threatened to sack disloyal aides from his government.

According to the governor, he would not hesitate to sack any of his aides who displayed any acts of disloyalty.

Akeredolu gave the warning on Monday during the swearing-in of four commissioners into his government

Bandits have again allegedly abducted students and teachers from UBE Primary School in Rama, a village in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Hate Speech: Igbo Muslims Fleeing Their Homes – MURIC

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has appealed to authors of hate speech and fake news to rewind, soften up and show remorse. The group argued that deradicalisation is necessary in order to douse tension in the country and avoid nationwide pogrom.

MURIC fingered prominent pastors and opposition politicians among those behind hate speech. The group blamed some media houses and irresponsible social media activists for fake news.

The appeal was made on Monday, 15th March, 2021 by the director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola.

Dokubo Dares Buhari, Announces Formation Of Biafran Govt

Ex-militant leader, and activist, Asari Dokubo, raised eyebrows on Sunday when he dared President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian Government by announcing the formation of a Biafran government.

In a statement that was made available to newsmen on Sunday, Dokubo declared himself as the leader of the new Biafra defacto Customary Government (BCG).
