Dangote Set To Hold Arsenal Talks With Kroenke

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote is set to commence serious talks over a potential takeover at Arsenal in the nearest future. 

Dangote, whose media reputation may have been tainted following his recent personal affairs with his mistresses came public, has made no secret in the past of his desire to buy out Stan Kroenke at Arsenal and become the owner at the Emirates Stadium.

In June 2015, Dangote admitted he was interested in buying Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith’s 15.9% stake in 2011, which were eventually purchased by Stan Kroenke.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced plans to commence the trial of over 5,000 suspected Boko Haram members who are in various detention facilities across the country.

At least 7,000 people have reportedly fled rapidly-escalating communal violence in western Ethiopia, seeking safety in neighboring Sudan, the United Nations disclosed on Tuesday.

The region has long been devastated by competition over land and resources, and the UN said many people arriving in Sudan are seeking food, water, and health care.

At Least 60 Inmates Killed In Ecuador Prison Riots

No fewer than 60 inmates were left dead and several others injured on Tuesday following riots at three jails in Ecuador prisons authorities reported as the nation battles severe prison overcrowding and frequent violence between rival gangs who are serving jail terms.

The national police said on Twitter the death toll stood at ‘more than 50‘ prisoners after unrest at facilities in the provinces of Guayas, Azuay, and Cotopaxi.

Ecuador’s President Lenin Moreno, also on Twitter, attributed the riots to “criminal organizations” engaged in ‘simultaneous acts of violence in several prisons.’
