Invictus Jailed For 10 years In US After Pleading Guity

Obinwanne Okeke Popularly known as ‘Invictus’ has been convicted by a court in Norfolk, Virginia, USA. The Nigerian scammer was on Tuesday jailed for 10 years for a computer-based fraud scheme that caused approximately $11 million in known losses to his victims.

According to official documents from the Department of Justice, Eastern District of Virginia, the judgment was pronounced by Chief U.S. District Judge Rebecca Beach Smith.

A pro-Russian blogger from Ukraine by the name Anatoliy Shariy, who is popular for his positive views on Russia was yesterday charged with treason even as Kiev ramps up efforts to stamp out what it tagged ‘Kremlin propaganda’.
The post-Soviet country says it has become a regular target of Russian misinformation since 2014 when Moscow annexed the Crimean peninsula and backed separatists in eastern Ukraine.

Former journalist Anatoliy Shariy, 42, is suspected of treason and fuelling national, ethnic, or religious tension, Ukraine’s SBU security service said in a statement.

The charges carry a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
