New Zealand Central Bank Hit By Cyber Attack

New Zealand’s central bank said Sunday it was responding with urgency to a ‘malicious’ breach of one of its data systems, a third-party file sharing service that stored ‘sensitive information’.

Reserve Bank of New Zealand governor Adrian Orr said the breach had been contained and the system was taken offline but it would take time to determine what information had been accessed.

A Boeing 737-524 aircraft carrying 62 people crashed into the Java Sea on Saturday.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) says some countries have purchased more COVID-19 vaccines than they would need.

WHO Director-General, WHO, Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus at a news conference in Geneva appealed to them to donate the excess vaccines to COVAX immediately.

Ghebreyesus confirmed that 42 countries are rolling out the various COVID-19 vaccines which have been cleared for use.
