Attacks On Fulani In South-West May Lead To Civil War – ACF

Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), have warned Governors of the South West and the Federal Government, to stop the ongoing attacks on Fulani communities in the region or risk the consequences.

ACF warned that the attacks if not immediately stopped, may lead to counterattacks in the North and even a repeat of the 1967 civil war.

In a statement issued on Saturday, titled; ‘Stop the drift in the southwest’, ACF noted that the civil war in the 60’s started with attacks and counter-attacks akin to what is happening presently in the southwest.

COVID-19: 2 More Gov’t Ministers In Dies Zimbabwe

Two ministers serving in the Zimbabwean government have died of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last few days, which has prompted the southern African country to announce plans to further tighten lockdown measures.

Late on Friday, the government announced that Transport Minister Joel Matiza had died after falling ill with COVID-19, less than two days after the country lost Foreign minister Sibusiso Moyo to the same disease.

Fulani Herdsmen Must Leave Ibarapa Now – Sunday Igboho

Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho on Friday made an appearance at Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, to declare that Fulani herdsmen must leave the area.

Igboho had last week issued a one-week ultimatum to Fulani herdsmen to vacate the area after the killing of Dr. Aborode.

Following the expiration of the ultimatum on Thursday, Igboho stormed Ibarapa on Friday where he was welcomed by thousands of supporters.
