Other Land Borders Will Be Reopened Before Dec 31 – FG

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari ( retd.), has approved the immediate reopening of four of Nigeria’s land borders.

The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, who disclosed this to State House correspondents at the end of the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council, said rice and poultry products remained banned.

The United States Mission in Nigeria has issued a holiday security alert to its citizens and others planning to travel to Nigeria.

The US Embassy in Abuja and Consulate General Lagos in the new security alert posted on its website warned US citizens that insecurity may increase during the holiday period.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, on Tuesday, suggested that he sacked a former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Azubuike Ihejirika, because he (Ihejirika) was not doing the right thing.
