3 Killed, Village Head Kidnapped For The Second Time In Niger

Three persons including the leader of a vigilante group, Mallam Isyaku Alhassan, of Madaka, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State were allegedly killed by bandits yesterday in the area.

It was learnt that the attacks took place between 11:am-2pm.

The other victims included the son of the leader of the vigilante, Abdulhamid Isyaku and one other person whose name is could not be ascertained at the moment.

Police in Houston Texas at the weekend provided fresh insight into the death of Nigerian couple, Dr Benjamin Okigbo and his wife, Theresa who was a nurse.

The police said there was no shooting incident: Benjamin strangled his wife.

Police said on Saturday that their investigation revealed that Benjamin Okigbo strangled Theresa Okigbo to death.

He then attempted to kill both of his 21-year-old sons by strangling them before he eventually killed himself by hanging.

A pro Buhari political pressure group, the Zikist-Buharist Movement (ZBM) has berated the National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Uche Secondus, for asking President Muhammadu Buhari to resign over the high the increase of insecurity in Nigeria.
