Borno Massacre: UN Visits Zabarmari, Victims’ Families

Edward Kallon, United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, has paid a condolence visit to Zabarmari village in Borno.

More than 43 farmers of the community were gruesomely murdered by Boko Haram last Saturday at Koshebe.

Residents of Zabarmari, Borno State have attacked the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, over his comments on the killing of rice farmers in the community.

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has said the Boko Haram terrorist group is killing residents of the State for exposing them to the military.

Babagana, who stated this through his spokesman, Isa Gusau, dismissed claims that the people of the State were not cooperating or giving intelligence to the military.

Gusau, in a tweet, recalled that Boko Haram confirmed that its fighters killed Zabarmari farmers for giving out intelligence to the military.
