N-Power: Buhari Orders Increase Of Beneficiaries To 1m

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed an increase in the number of N-Power beneficiaries.

Buhari ordered the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development to increase N-Power beneficiaries from 500, 000 to 1,000,000.

Disclosing this on Monday, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, said the order was part of Buhari’s promise to lift 100m Nigerians from poverty in the next 10 years.

Whistleblower General Adeniyi Demoted By Court Martial

Whistleblower and former Theatre commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Olusegun Adeniyi has been ordered demoted by an army court martial, for speaking the truth.

The court on Monday found Adeniyi guilty of violating military social media guidelines and ordered his demotion by at least three years.

Adeniyi’s aide, Private Tokunbo Obanla, who was prosecuted alongside the general, was also found guilty and sentenced to 28 days in jail with hard labour.

Both convictions are subject to confirmation by the Army Council.
