Even as many notable Nigerians and organisation calls on government to stop the persecution of #EndSARS protesters, report has said that Policemen attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Lagos on Monday filed an application at the Yaba Magistrate Court demanding for court order to detain one of the #EndSARS protesters, Eromosele Adene, for an extra 30 days.

Nigeria’s army has finally admitted that its troop did fire shots into the air to disperse a large crowd at the Lekki Toll Plaza in Lagos where several peaceful protesters were killed late in October. The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has assured the 2020 Batch B stream 1 corps members deployed in the state of adequate security during the service year. The Governor disclosed this Monday at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) permanent orientation camp, Wamakko in the Wamakko Local Government Area of the state. The Petroleum Resources Minister of State, Timipre Sylva, on Monday, explained the recent hike in fuel pump price from between ₦158 and ₦162 per litre to ₦168 and ₦170.

Sylva said that to the ordinary Nigerian, kerosene and diesel are more useful than petrol, which he claimed was mostly used by the elite.

The Minister of Petroleum, Timipre Sylva, and the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr Mele Kyari, on Monday, failed to show up for the budget defence at the House of Representatives Committees on Petroleum (Upstream, Downstream) and Gas Resources.

Members of the committee numbering more than 50 were made to sit for more than an hour waiting for Kyari and Sylva’s arrival, but they never showed up.
