Zulum Awards Scholarship To Children Of Civilian JTF Members

Borno Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum has awarded scholarship to children of Civilian JTF, hunters and vigilantes, as a gesture of appreciation for their patriotism.

Many of the volunteers had paid the ultimate price while fighting Boko Haram in the last seven years. Their children had grown up without father figures.

Zulum also gave N50,000 each for widows of the slain volunteers and N20,000 each to the 9,000 volunteers on the payroll.

Each of the 9,000 volunteers will also receive 50-kg bag of rice, a carton of spaghetti and a gallon of cooking oil.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has said it has removed the restriction on non-member mortgage lenders from refinancing their mortgages with the Mortgage Refinance Company.
