Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has said that organisers of Saturday’s End SARS protest, who were arrested by the police, have been released.
Africa Daily News, New York reports that the Ogun Police Command had earlier confirmed that 23 persons were arrested on Saturday when the protest which was meant to be peaceful turned violent.
The spokesman of the Ogun Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, told Africa Daily News, New York that some of the youths were apprehended as three guns, rounds of ammunition and assorted charms were discovered in one of their cars.

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged Patricia Scotland, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, to hold Nigerian authorities to account for attacks on peaceful End SARS protesters.
The body condemned several reports of human rights violations and abuses.

Two medical doctors who were kidnapped in the Eastern part of Kogi State last week have regained their freedom.
They are Dr. Ebiloma Yahaya Aduku of Zonal Hospital, Ankpa and Dr. Kelechi Mgbahurike of Christ the King Hospital, Anyigba.

Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo State, has said the constitution backs Nigerians protesting against the alleged brutality of the police Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
Makinde made the remark in a response to the killing of a protester and the injuring of others allegedly by police officers in Ogbomosho area of the state.
