Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike has denied making any statement that Rivers state can also manage its oil like the case of the gold in Zamfara.

A statement by Paulinus Nsirim, the Commissioner for Information reads ‘ The attention of the Rivers State Government has been drawn to a completely false and misleading story circulating in the Social Media, that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State made some remarks in connection with a report that the Central Bank of Nigeria will purchase N 5billion worth of Gold from the Zamfara State Government.’

18 Dead In Thailand Bus-Train Collision

At least 18 people were killed and more than 40 injured in Thailand Sunday when a freight train crashed into a bus taking passengers to a religious ceremony, officials said.

The University of Mkar in Benue State has confirmed the death of its two lecturers, Mr Joshua Leva and Mr Moses Tarnongo, in a motor accident which occurred on Saturday.

DAILY POST had reported that the accident which occurred near Gbatse village in Ushongo Local Government Area of the state, claimed seven lives leaving one seriously injured.
