Female African Billionaire, Isabel dos Santo, Loses Husband

Africa’s proclaimed richest woman, Isabel dos Santos’s has lost her, husband, Sindika Dokolo.

He died at the age of 48.

His death was confirmed in a tweet by Michée Mulumba of the Congolese president’s office, Felix Tshisekedi.

Paying tribute, Mulumba said, ‘It was during a scuba diving that you left for eternity.’

‘A habitual activity that tore you from your fight, from your loved ones. Rest in peace, dear,’ he said.

Stakeholders in Niger State have alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari led administration scammed the state in the provision of dividends of democracy, despite the massive support given to him in 2015 and 2019 presidential elections in the country.

The stakeholders stated this at the Government House in Minna during a meeting convened by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zubairu Dada.

They include Legislators, traditional rulers, youth organizations, women groups and religious leaders, who all took turns to bare their minds on various challenges facing the state.

Bullish trading continued on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday after Eid-el-Maulud holiday, with market value growing by ₦571 billion.

Market capitalisation which opened at ₦15.386 trillion inched higher by ₦571 billion or 3.71 per cent to close at ₦15.957 trillion.

Also, the All-Share Index improved by 1,093.09 points or 3.71 per cent to close at 30,530.69 from 29,437.60 achieved on Wednesday.

A breakdown of the price movement chart shows that 43 stocks recorded price appreciation in contrast with 11 losers.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) yesterday attributed the prolonged neglect of overhauling the refineries in the country to the delay in making them functional.

It declared the refineries as damaged beyond the usual Turnaround Maintenance (TAM).
