ASUU: Nigeria Govt Moves To Address Complaints On IPPIS

The Federal Government said it will set up a five-man committee to holistically study the complaints on the Integrated Payroll Personnel Information System (IPPIS) by the unions.

The committee will examine the complaints with a view to harmonising its activities and operations.

Sen. Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment made this known as the conclusion reached at the end of the meeting between the Federal Government and the leadership of the Non-Academics Staff Union of Nigerian universities and other stakeholders on Wednesday in Abuja.

The Nigerian Army has denied any involvement in Tuesday evening’s shooting of #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Plaza area of Lagos State.

There were reports of massive shooting by men in military uniforms at protesters on Tuesday evening at the Lekki Toll Gate.

However, the Nigerian Army described the reports as ‘Fake News’ and stated that none of its officers were at Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday.

The Nigerian army have been accused of mass murder as unarmed protestants have been killed by the men who swore protect them.

The death rate still counts as 10 people have been confirmed dead and many of them have feared death.

Some unarmed protestors are currently in critical conditions but the Nigerian army denies the Ambulance service to provide first aid.

EndSARS: US Issues Security Alert To Nationals In Nigeria

The United States Diplomatic Mission to Nigeria, has warned its nationals living in the country against dangers occasioned by the #EndSARS protest across the country.
Titled ‘Message for American Citizens – Demonstration Alert,’ the US Government said multiple demonstrations were ongoing across Nigeria, to include areas within the consular districts of Abuja and Lagos.
The United States Embassy also said although most demonstrations were peaceful, some have become violent and have shut down major thoroughfares and bridges.
Some police stations have been targeted.  Lagos State closed all schools
