Arik Air Announces Plans To Resume Operations

The management of Arik Air has announced the resumption of flight operations in and out of Lagos from October 24.

This is following the easing of the curfew imposed by the Lagos State Government.

Arik had on Oct. 20 announced the cancellation of all flights across the country after the Lagos State government imposed a 24 hours curfew on the state.

Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Ou on Friday announced the ease of the curfew in the state.

Gov Emmanuel Extends Curfew As Protest Turns Violent

Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has extended the curfew imposed on the state to 7am tomorrow (Saturday) to ensure full return to normalcy.

Emmanuel announced the extension in a statement issued on Friday in Uyo by the state Commissioner for Information, Mr Ini Ememobong, and made available to newsmen.

Recall that the curfew declared earlier by the governor was to elapse by midday Friday.

The governor said the extension followed the unlawful activities of the End SARS protesters, which led to the disruption of economic activities in the state.

The Supreme Council for Shari’ah in Nigeria has condemned widespread violence in the country.
