Erdogan Says Macron Needs ‘Mental Checks’

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday slammed his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, over his policies toward Muslims, saying that he needed “mental checks.”

“What can one say about a head of state who treats millions of members from different faith groups this way: first of all, have mental checks,” Erdogan said in a televised address.

The house of the Chairman, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has been vandalised and set ablaze in Calabar, Cross River State by hoodlums.

Ndoma-Egba was a three-time senator who represented Cross River Central Senatorial District of Cross River State in the Nigerian Senate from 2003 to 2015.

Hoodlums unleashed mayhem in Calabar on Saturday, vandalising properties and setting some ablaze in the aftermath of #EndSARS protests in the country.

Hoodlums on Saturday discovered and looted a warehouse full of COVID-19 palliatives in Jos, Plateau state.

The same incident happened in Lagos, Oyo, Kwara, Osun, Calabar, Edo and many other states.

Some of the items carted away include beans, noodles, sugar, salt, garri, rice and pasta.

Governor Nyesom Wike on Friday announced a ban on all activities of Igbo secessionist agitator group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB,  in Rivers State.

The ban follows the indictment of the group by the police in the series of violence that have rocked the Oyigbo Local Government Area and other parts of the State in the wake of the #EndSARS protests since the beginning of the week.

The Governor had on Wednesday declared 24 hours curfew in Oyigbo and other parts of the state to rein in activities of the group.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has asked The inspector-general of police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu to handover the ongoing recruitment exercise of police constables and cadets in compliance with the order of the court of appeal.
