Lawmakers in Ogun State House of Assembly have approved the request of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun seeking the Assembly’s approval to access ₦2.5 billion in the ongoing intervention fund provided by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

Kwara Gov Appoints Prince Abdulkadir As New Chief Of Staff

Prince Mahee Abdulkadir has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

Prince Abdulkadir is a son of the late 10th Emir of Ilorin, Mallam Aliyu Abdulkadir.

He will replace the late Chief of Staff to the governor, Alhaji Aminu Adisa Logun, who died recently of COVID-19.

Prince Abdulkadir was a former Permanent Secretary in the Government House, Ilorin in 2003.

He also served as the Clerk of the State House of Assembly in 2004, and left in 2007.

The board of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has granted approval for the dismissal of 8 erring officers of the Corps in accordance with the provisions of its regulation on discipline.

COVID-19: Nigeria Records 156 New Cases, 1,051 Total Deaths

A total of one hundred and fifty-six, 156, new cases of COVID-19 infections have been recorded in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, announced the figure on Friday night in a tweet via its official Twitter handle.

NCDC said Lagos State recorded 36 cases, while FCT followed with 35 cases.
