Kidnappers Storm Kaduna School, Abduct Only Female Students

Gunmen Attack Abuja Community, Kidnap 20 Residents

Gunmen raided Tungan Maje, a suburb of Abuja, early Thursday, abducting an unspecified number of residents.

One resident said at least 20 people were kidnapped after prolonged shooting in the community that lies near Zuba. This figure could not be immediately confirmed.

The police spokesperson for the federal capital territory, Anjugur Manzah, told PREMIUM TIMES he was working on a statement on the incident.

He did not confirm the number of those kidnapped, or whether there are casualties.

Lagos-Ogun Trains Service Resumes, Fares Increased – NRC

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) says Lagos-Ogun Mass Transit Train Services operations will resume next Monday.

Operations were suspended in March after the outbreak of coronavirus.

Jerry Oche, NRC Lagos District Manager, made the announcement in a statement on Thursday.

“NRC is set to resume its Mass Transit Train Services on Monday, September 14, 2020. The resumption is coming after a compulsory shutdown of train operations on March 23, 2020 due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.”

He said in line with Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines for the reopening of rail transportation, changes have been made.
