Nigeria Becoming Divided, A Basket Case Under Buhari – Obasanjo

Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, has said the country is becoming a failed state and divided under President Muhammadu.

Obasanjo claimed Nigeria needs to be rescued from the brink of collapse.

He said this while delivering a speech titled, ‘Moving Nigeria Away from Tipping Over’ at a consultative dialogue attended by representatives of Afenifere, Middle Belt Forum, Northern Elders Forum, Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo and Pan Niger Delta Forum.

The event was held in Abuja on Thursday.

Chinese telecom giant Huawei on Thursday said its nascent homegrown operating system could be available on smartphones early next year, as it pushes to build an alternative app ecosystem after the US barred it from using Google’s Android.

The source code for HarmonyOS will be made available beginning in December to software developers who create apps for smartphones, said Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s consumer products division.

Beijing on Friday denied trying to meddle in US presidential election after American tech giant Microsoft said it had parried cyberattacks from overseas groups — including from China — against both the Republican and Democratic campaigns.

Sudan has declared a state of emergency to avert economic downturn due to the dramatic fall of its local currency against the US dollar and soaring inflation.

The Presidency on Friday says the prices of food items in the country are dropping as a result of the agricultural reforms of the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
