Niger Govt Threatens To Cut Off Water Supply To Army Barracks

The Niger State Government has threatened to disconnect water supply from the State Water and Sewage Corporation to the Army Barracks, Minna for failure to settle their water bills.

The Commissioner of Water Resources, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman made the threat in a reaction to the debts owed by Security agencies and efforts being made by some to settle them in the state during a media round-table in Minna.

Edo: EU, INEC React To Electoral Process At Polling Units

The European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES) says voters in Ologbosere primary school, ward 4 with 40 units and other polling units they visited weren’t observing the COVID-19 protocols as stipulated in the INEC policy.

The Deputy Project Coordinator, Mr Wilson Manji, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday, that although the voters were all wearing a face mask, they didn’t maintain social distancing.

Edo Decides: APC, PDP Youths Clash Over Money-Sharing

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) clashed Saturday morning in Edo.

It was alleged that some APC youths attempted to share money but were resisted by their PDP counterparts.

The incident occurred at a polling unit in Oredo Local Government Area.

The footage of the incident shows members of the opposing camps rough handling one another.

The federal government has called for increased partnership with the Cross River State government over developing its huge solid minerals potential.

The Minister of Solid Minerals, Sampson Ugah, made this call in Calabar, Cross River State capital during a courtesy visit to the state governor as part of his two-day working visit to the state.

After four days in captivity, a former officer of the United States Army and native of Ijan Ekiti in Ekiti state, Mr Jide Ijadare, has been released by his abductors.
