A Paris fashion week show has called for the end to the “tyranny” of US President Donald Trump.

American artist Sterling Ruby compared Trump to the racist Ku Klux Klan in his women’s Paris show called “Veil Flag”, in which a black model was draped in a distressed denim version of the Stars and Stripes.

Ruby’s streetwear brand, S.R. Studio. LA. CA., made its fashion week debut in the French capital late Monday with a film featuring the flag and a spoken word poem.

Mali’s transitional president appointed former minister of foreign affairs, Moctar Ouane, on Sunday as the West African nation’s prime minister, days after being sworn into office.

Robots In Nigeria: FG To Boost Artificial Intelligence

The federal government on Tuesday announced that it has developed initiatives for the adoption of Artificial Intelligence technology in Nigeria.

The establishment of a Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in Nigeria (CFAIR) is also expected soon.

On Tuesday, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) said that AI applications enable innovative solutions, improve risk assessment, better planning, and faster knowledge-sharing.

Director of IT Infrastructure Solution, Abdullahi Usman Gambo, spoke at a workshop in commemoration of International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) organised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), on Tuesday, pleaded not guilty to the eight count charge of murder filed against him in a Kaduna High Court.

Justice Gideon Kurada took the plea of the IMN leader, detained since December 2015, at the resumed hearing of the motion in a no-case-submission filed by his lawyer on Aug. 7.

The Senate on Tuesday said it has received the Petroleum Industry Bill from the Federal Government.
Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Lawan said this during plenary.

A busted staff of First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Oreoluwa Adesakin, has been convicted for fraud and handed a total term of 98 years in prison by Justice Muniru Olagunju of the Oyo State High Court.
