VP Osinbajo To Meet With Facebook Vice President Today

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Facebook’s Vice President, Policy and Communication, Nick Clegg, are set to hold a virtual informal chat on Facebook on Friday.

Facebook, in a statement issued on Thursday, said the chat would be held as part of its activities during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 75th session of the U.N. General Assembly commenced on Tuesday with a moment of silence against the unprecedented backdrop of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Soldier Commits Suicide In Yobe, Leaves Note For Wife

A Nigerian Soldier from 27 TF Bde, identified as Corporal Victor Ojeamiran committed Suicide at his Duty Post at HQ 27 TF Bde Buni Gari in Gujba LGA of Yobe State.

The deceased soldier shot himself with his personal weapon on the head which resulted in his death.

Additionally, information gathered by Africa Daily News, New York revealed that the late soldier left behind a suicidal note addressed to his wife.

His remains were evacuated for further action while the Nigerian Army has launched an investigation on the circumstances that led to the incident.
