‘Ban El-Rufai’ – Reno Omokri Petitions EU, UK As 20,491 Sign

As at 9:12 am on Thursday, 20,491 people have signed a petition asking the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom (UK) to place a travel ban on Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

The petitioners are claiming that they signed because of the poor handling of Southern Kaduna crisis by El-Rufai and other issues.

The petition emanated from Reno Omokri, former Special Assistant on New Media to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

AIG Retires 72 Hours To Edo Governorship Election

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of ‘Zone 5’ in Benin City, Mr. Dabal Paul Yakadi, has bowed out of service barely 72 hours to Edo State Governorship election slated for Saturday.

Yakadi, retired on Tuesday after attaining the mandatory age of retirement.

Malami Wants To Shut Down EFCC – Itse Sagay

The Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, PACAC, led by Prof. Itse Sagay, has vehemently kicked against the proposed bill for the amendment of the establishment Act of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Sagay, in a statement on Wednesday, called on Nigerians and the National Assembly to reject the bill.

The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has said this administration inherited a ‘terribly’ divided country from the former president, Goodluck Jonathan, in 2015.
