The corruption trial of South Africa’s ex-president Jacob Zuma, initially set to begin in May, has been postponed for a third time over pre-trial “issues”, the prosecutor said Tuesday.

Zuma, 78, is accused of taking four million rands ($236,000) in bribes to facilitate a $3.4 billion arms deal with French arms company Thales in 1999 when he was deputy president.

The former leader and Thales were scheduled to appear in court on May 6 to answer the allegations.

Coronavirus cases are rising in 22 of the 50 U.S. states, mostly in the less-populated parts of the Midwest and South, an analysis by Reuters has shown.

As little as three weeks ago, cases were increasing in only three states, Hawaii, Illinois and South Dakota, according to the analysis comparing cases for the two-week period of Aug. 8-22 with the past two weeks.

150,000 Nigerian Passports Stolen Or Missing – NIS

About 150,000 Nigerian passports or travel documents may have either been stolen or lost, according to Nigerian Immigration Service records.

The NIS INTERPOL i-24/7 desk said it has now seamlessly uploaded the information, about the Stolen and Lost Travel Documents (STLD) to INTERPOL Global System (IPSG) in Lyon, France.

The Service spokesman, Mr Sunday James, disclosed this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.

James said that INTERPOL i-24/7 was a major system manned by officers of the NIS at the unit in the Service Headquarters.
