Lebanon’s president has rejected any international probe into the catastrophic Beirut port blast, saying a missile or negligence could have been responsible as rescuers desperately combed the rubble for survivors.

The United States has imposed sanctions against Bi Sidi Souleymane, the leader of the Return, Reclamation, Rehabilitation (3R) rebel group in the Central African Republic.

According to a statement by Secretary of State Michael Pompeo on Friday, the group is accused of committing numerous human rights abuses and displacing thousands in the troubled country since 2015.

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has strongly condemned and rejected the sack of 100 Pilots by Air Peace and 69 Pilots by Bristow Helicopters.

Africa Daily News, New York eported that the management of Air Peace had announced that it sacked some of its pilots and supporting staff across its fleet while slashing staff salaries by up to 40 percent due to the effect of the coronavirus pandemic.
